Previously, the only equipment available to solve the issue of mass fatality cold storage was oversized walk in refrigerators or refrigerated tractor trailers. Both are functional solutions but also have many drawbacks when responding to any mass fatality incident. Using liquid cooling technology and specifically designed cooling bags, the MERC System™ provides the total solution to mass fatality response. The MERC System™ is the only system available that does not use chilled air to provide cooling of human remains.
